Introducing the GoSport Adventure!
Project Overview
A user-friendly app for seamless sports venue reservations. Improved efficiency, higher satisfaction, and expanded networks. Plus, cost-effective bookings!
My Role
As a UX/UI Designer, my tasks include user research, wireframes, prototypes, interface and visual design, interaction design, and usability testing.

Project Brief: Carey's Headache!
Carey, new to Vancouver, has a limited social circle and few friends. She seeks sports activities but finds Vancouver's website confusing, unable to locate a suitable venue.

We're ‘GoSport’, revolutionizing how you discover sports venues in Vancouver. Our platform streamlines reservations, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for all.
Exploration and Research
To fully understand what users need, we adopted a research strategy beginning with qualitative interviews to learn about their frustrations, followed by quantitative surveys to measure the extent of these issues.
After reviewing surveys from 40 people, we discovered frustration with the complex booking system, especially in finding times to book. 75% rated it as hard to use.
What We Found Out
Access the centralized "City of Vancouver" website for reservations at any venue, regardless of sport or location.
Exploration and Research

Enhance User Experience: We aim to create a streamlined website for faster finding and booking, cutting booking time in half and achieving a user happiness rating of 4.5 out of 5.
Boost User Engagement: Introduce social features for users to connect, share, and plan together. Target a 30% increase in active users and double interactions within six months.

Safety and Privacy It’s the Key
Ensuring the safety and privacy of user information is our top priority. Venue staff can access only limited user profile information for emergency contacts or to call 911 if necessary.

User testing & feedback
User testing feedback:
20 users were involved in the user testing.
Users enjoyed the simple design but sometimes found navigating between sections confusing.
Most people liked the booking process, though some wish it could be quicker and simpler.
User feedback on final product:
Simplify the app with clearer layout, icons, and labels.
Simplified new user guides to navigate and utilize App Features
Improve app design for ease of use with larger text, buttons, and visible colors.
The booking system achieved a 90% satisfaction rate in usability tests for the simplified new design.
Moving Forward
Listening to users and ensuring app user-friendly, and reliability during peak hours, are crucial for user satisfaction. The new design's success is evident, with 90% of users finding it easy to use in usability tests. Continuous user feedback will drive further improvements.
